You asked; we are delivering! Our family meals every Friday and Sunday night have been a hit. These meals include an entrée, an assortment of sides, and a dessert. Each meal should feed a family of four, two adults and two kids, but will fluctuate in size slightly based upon the cost of the meal. We’re just trying to breakeven on cost of ingredients to cost of the meal. Any extra revenue will go to support our staff and our other pay-it-forward initiatives. C.J. and Philip have been sitting down each week to customize a menu for everyone’s liking. They are also the two that prepare the meals to take some of the work off of our kitchen staff.
For reference if you have never heard of our family style orders here are some previous meals that have been prepared. Fajita Friday was our first ever family style, and included tortillas, Mexican rice, chicken and shrimp fajitas, and corn. Some other previous meals were pulled pork, smoked whole chicken, and Quiche for Sunday Brunch.
Most meals are ready to go at 5:00 PM each day for carry-out and delivery in the Del Ray, Old Town, Potomac Yards, and South Arlington areas.
For the upcoming meals one we have a vegetarian option of grilled cauliflower steak with chimichurri. This will include some sides such as avocado salad, stuffed portobello mushrooms and pumpkin pie. Sunday’s BBQ meal will be a beef brisket dinner, included with that is smoked gouda smashed potatoes, collard greens, cheddar biscuits, slaw, and chocolate chip cookies.
