Thursday April 13 come out for a special free tasting event with Denizens Brewing Co.! Brewery co-founder Julie Verratti will join us for an evening of samples, including some DMV favorites as well as special seasonals! Meet your fellow local beer nerds as we celebrate this renowned brew company and their exceptionally crafted beers. “It all started with a conversation around the dinner table in 2012. Emily and Julie, itching to build a business, recruited brother-in-law Jeff to start a brewery. After months of searching for the right location, we landed on a spot just down the street from our home in downtown Silver Spring. Our small but mighty team set to work recruiting friends, family, and local vendors to create the brewery and beer garden we all know and love today. At the same time, we partnered with government and community leaders to remove unnecessary, prohibition-era barriers for local beer production and distribution. We pioneered an entirely new business model that has changed the local landscape for craft beer. A year later we opened our doors as the first production brewery in Montgomery County, MD.
